Doing things right

All the development of your models is carried out “in house” in our ready-to-wear workshop, Paris, in the Batignolles district.

It is Julie who imagines and designs each model. She then creates the pattern, then the canvases, then a prototype.

The prototypes are (re)worked until we are completely satisfied with the result.

The models are then worn and washed to test their durability. This is why we can guarantee them for life!

Bring your clothes back to us if there is a problem, and we will find a solution for you.

The workshop

As fans of made in France , we are proud to have internalized all our production within our ready-to-wear workshop.

mARIANNE by Marie Jordane practices sustainable manufacturing , a hybrid system between pre-ordering and traditional production, to avoid overproduction and produce as accurately as possible .

We have in-house perfect knowledge of the fabric, the garment and what is possible and not possible to do.

This gives free rein to our creativity and allows us to offer you accomplished and daring cuts.

The workshop

As such, mARIANNE by Marie Jordane has received the Made in Paris label awarded by the city of Paris, which aims to highlight the wealth of local production and the dynamism of Parisian craftsmanship.

The materials

At mMJ, we only use fabrics with a lower impact on the planet.

Each choice of material is a reasoned trade-off between proximity, composition and drape.

We favor ecological materials such as lyocell, GOTS-certified organic cotton and, above all, dormant stocks of materials, unused by major brands, which we collect directly from French weavers.

The costs

We believe that when you buy a garment,
It is natural that you know what the price includes.

We use quality raw materials, organic or upcycled, from France and Europe.
The production is carried out by hand, by skilled workers.
This quality not only has a cost but above all a value.

mARIANNE by Marie Jordane applies a margin to the cost price of the garment, which allows it to pay the costs related to the operation of the brand, while ensuring that the sale price remains as affordable as possible.

Also, the coefficient applied today is between x2 and x3 depending on the models.

WHO ARE WE ?

In 2017, the adventure began with the opening of an independent multi-brand boutique and an e-shop by Julie. Her goal is to showcase young European designers.

However, it is faced with an unsuitable system: poor stock management imposed by the creators, an overabundance of products and difficulty in tracing the value chain.

Driven by the alignment of her personal values ​​with those of her company, she wants to expand her selection and offer even more responsible and local brands.

She then noticed that it was difficult to find brands that combined style, quality, proximity and eco-responsibility.

With her training as a fashion designer, she decided to join forces with Marianne Ballino to create mARIANNE by Marie Jordane. Together, they aim to completely rethink clothing and the model of manufacturing, production and distribution.

Their goal is to offer clothing that meets high standards in terms of sustainability and social responsibility, while being manufactured locally.

More than associates, Julie and Marianne are above all friends.

They met in an amateur theater class in Paris, and it was while creating the costumes for their first play together that the desire to work together was born.

With their very different but complementary experiences, they launched their first 100% responsible, 100% made in France collection in March 2020.
